The 3rd district consists of the formerly independent districts of Landstraße, Erdberg, and Weißgerber. We're focusing on the Weißgerberviertel.
Who were the Weißgerbers? What was the Hetztheater? What's the story behind the Rasumofsky Palace? Where is a short, narrow, nameless alley? What used to be at the Rochusmarkt?
On this neighborhood tour, we walk from the Church of St. Othmar unter den Weißgerbern, continue to the Hundertwasserhaus, past the Sofiensäle to the Palais Rasumofsky and end at the Rochusmarkt.
Start: in front of the church of St. Othmar unter den Weißgerbern, Kolonitzplatz 1, 1030 Vienna (U4/U3 Wien-Mitte)
End: at Rochusmarkt, Landstraßer Hauptstraße 3, 1030 Vienna (U3 Rochusgasse)
