On this wine-hiking tour, we walk from the terminus of tram line 31 through the old town center with Freiheitsplatz and the church to Stammersdorfer Kellergasse, enjoying fantastic views of Vienna along the vineyards.

About the event
What is the history of this part of Floridsdorf, where we find one of Vienna's most charming cellar lanes? The winegrowing and the fantastic location on the southeastern slope of the Bisamberg make the area special. At the same time, it was repeatedly subjected to enemy attacks over the centuries and held significant military importance.
On this wine hike, we walk from the terminus of tram line no. 31 through the old town center with the Freedom Square and the church to the Stammersdorf cellar lane and enjoy a great view of Vienna along the vineyards.
This wine hike will of course end at a typical wine tavern (participation is voluntary, consumption not included).
Important note: The route is almost 10 km long, with frequent uphill sections, partly through the forest, so good physical condition, hiking boots, something to drink, and possibly small snacks are recommended!
